Cáceres, 24 de enero de 2023 – Diggia Group, in collaboration with Red.es, Gamma Solutions, the Escuela Politécnica de Cáceres, and the Centro Universitario de Mérida, is pleased to announce the commencement of a two-year trial project for 5G in the city of Cáceres and on the campus of the University of Extremadura. This pioneering initiative aims to explore the potential of 5G technology through the implementation of five use cases, studying their functionality and identifying possible improvements.
The five use cases of this project are:
- High-quality immersive teletraining in minimally invasive surgery.
- Automatic control of Smart Grids.
- High-quality immersive tourist experiences.
- Remote-controlled driving of electric vehicles.
- Autonomous driving of electric vehicle fleets.
- By conducting experiments in these areas, the project seeks to harness the potential of 5G technology to revolutionize various sectors and enhance user experiences.
