The Association of Companies in the Industrial Estate of Manzanares (Aempoman) has presented its members with a project aimed at reducing their electricity consumption costs. The company Sfera One, specialized in generation, savings, and energy efficiency solutions, unveiled the details at an event attended by the Mayor, Julián Nieva, who expressed the municipal willingness to collaborate with any initiative that benefits the city’s business fabric.
The gathering organized by Aempoman at the Business Incubator sparked great interest and brought together numerous representatives from the companies in the industrial estate of Manzanares. Energy costs are continuously rising, and this project would allow them to save between 40 and 60% on the price per kilowatt-hour. “We believe it can be attractive and improve the competitiveness of the companies,” explained the association’s manager, Abraham López.
Alberto Arroyo, Business Development Director of Sfera One, a company specialized in energy efficiency solutions, presented their project to the companies in the industrial estate of Manzanares. It involves installing photovoltaic installations on their roofs or grouping them together in shared spaces with individual contracts for each interested company. According to Sfera One’s proposal, these plants do not require an initial investment and, after fifteen years, become the property of the users, who can also amortize them in advance.
Established in 2006, Sfera One has an international presence and is part of the Diggia Group, specialized in renewable generation projects, electric vehicle charging networks (Wenea), energy efficiency solutions in hotel chains, and photovoltaic energy generation and storage networks.
Their proposal for the industrial estate of Manzanares is to produce clean and renewable energy, knowing the price of each kilowatt “without surprises,” with a price determined by an annual consumption amount.
The Mayor of Manzanares, Julián Nieva, who attended this presentation alongside the Councillor for Business Development, Manuel José Palacios, expressed the municipal willingness to collaborate with any company in the energy sector interested in “doing something that is necessary” in order to generate clean energy and reduce the electricity bill. “We have open arms,” he said.
The Mayor announced that the Manzanares City Council would even collaborate in the installation of a solar plant near the industrial estate to achieve this objective. “As long as it is beneficial for our companies, it is good for the city,” Nieva explained to the attending entrepreneurs.
