● The RTVE corporation has 34 charging points at six of its locations in Spain and plans to expand with 23 new charging points across the country
Madrid, October 15, 2024 – Wenea, the leading electric vehicle charging operator in Spain, has been selected to manage and operate the charging points for the Spanish Radio and Television Corporation (RTVE) at its main locations. The contract includes the management of the 34 chargers currently installed in six locations and the planned expansion with 23 new charging points across the national territory.
The four-year contract covers both the administration and maintenance of the charging infrastructure, as well as providing services to electric vehicle users. RTVE’s charging points will be integrated into Wenea’s platform, allowing electric vehicle users to charge their vehicles through the company’s mobile application. Additionally, RTVE staff will be able to monitor the status of the chargers in real-time and access detailed usage data on the infrastructure.
Among the additional benefits included in this agreement is the possibility of installing charging solutions at RTVE employees’ homes, allowing their integration into the same platform and providing a unified experience. Furthermore, Wenea will implement its ‘Tap & Charge’ technology, offering discounts on the Wenea network for RTVE’s fleet, as well as for employees and subcontracted companies.
Alberto Cantero, CEO of Wenea, stated: “We are pleased to announce this new contract with RTVE, a milestone we add to our portfolio of management projects that allows us to offer a charging network with the best coverage to our clients. Once again, Wenea’s platform has been chosen for its ability to offer the best service, with innovative and efficient solutions in line with current needs. This collaboration facilitates RTVE workers and partners’ access to the charging infrastructure, helping to promote a more efficient and sustainable transportation model.”
