MARTORELL, July 10, 2023 – SferaOne, a company specialized in the implementation and operation of renewable generation solutions, is pleased to announce the successful supply and deployment project of a ultra-rapid charger with up to 450 kW for the electric urban buses of the Martorell City Council.

The main objective of this initiative is to promote the adoption of electric vehicles in public transportation, thus driving sustainable mobility and reducing pollutant emissions in the city. In collaboration with the Martorell City Council, SferaOne has implemented a state-of-the-art charging system that will allow electric buses to charge quickly and efficiently.

The deployed ultra-rapid charger is a Siemens-manufactured DC Charger Sicharge UC 600 unit with a charging capacity of up to 450 kW. This power ensures fast and efficient vehicle charging, reducing recharge times and increasing the availability of electric buses in the City Council’s fleet.

A notable feature of this rapid charger is its charging bell for Siemens’ Masthood, compatible with “down-to-up” pantographs. This facilitates the charging operation of electric urban buses, improving comfort and efficiency in the process.
