The agreement aims to promote and facilitate the transition to sustainable mobility as an alternative to fossil fuel vehicles.
The new charging points will be located in 14 hotels spread across the Canary Islands, Madrid, Andalusia, and the Balearic Islands, and will be available to any electric vehicle driver through the Wenea mobile application.
The chargers, deployed in all hotels of the chain, will have power capacities ranging from 22 kW to 200 kW.

Madrid, 12th January 2023 – Hoteles Elba has signed a collaboration agreement with Wenea, a Spanish company providing services for electric vehicle users, offering intelligent charging solutions. As a result, Wenea is firmly committed to meeting all charging needs of its customers by combining chargers that cover both destination charging and ultra-fast charging at publicly accessible locations such as Hoteles Elba.

The agreement specifies the deployment of new charging points in all hotels of the company. Specifically, these installations will be located in 14 hotels, with 8 in the Canary Islands, while the remaining 6 are in Madrid, Andalusia, and the Balearic Islands. Hoteles Elba will have a dual 22 kW charger at each hotel, and in addition, an ultra-fast 200 kW charger at Hotel Elba Madrid Alcalá and Elba Estepona Gran Hotel & Thalasso Spa.

The charging points installed in the hotels will be available to any driver (not necessarily hotel guests) through the Wenea mobile application, which is available on Android and iOS. Through this application, electric vehicle drivers can access real-time information about the location of charging points, check the availability of each connector, monitor their charging status, or review billing history. This way, customers of the Wenea app can locate new stations to stop during their journeys or utilize the route planner to facilitate their trip.
