Wenea and SferaOne will invest in the deployment of this network, operating under a concession model for 8 years

Andalusia, 30th May 2023 – Wenea, an independent leader in electric vehicle charging services in Spain, has been awarded the public domain concession contract, along with the company SferaOne. In this tender, in which Iberdrola also secured a portion, the Wenea-SferaOne joint venture obtained 80% of the 308 charging stations for the deployment, maintenance, management, and operation of all charging stations. This significant number demonstrates the commitment of both companies to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility in the region and contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions associated with road traffic.

El proceso de concesión fue gestionado por el Servicio Andaluz de Salud (SAS), quien ha reconocido la importancia de contar con una infraestructura de carga eléctrica en sus centros sanitarios. Gracias a esta concesión, los clientes de vehículos eléctricos podrán disfrutar de la comodidad y accesibilidad de los cargadores ubicados estratégicamente en toda la geografía andaluza. Serán desplegados cargadores con una potencia hasta 22 kW. La presencia de estos en los centros sanitarios de Andalucía no solo beneficiará a los profesionales de la salud, sino también a los pacientes y visitantes, que podrán cargar sus vehículos eléctricos durante su estancia en los centros. Los cargadores ubicados en los centros sanitarios estarán disponibles para cualquier conductor, a través de la aplicación móvil de Wenea, compatible tanto con dispositivos Android como iOS. Mediante esta aplicación, los propietarios de vehículos eléctricos tendrán acceso a información en tiempo real sobre la ubicación de los puntos de carga, podrán verificar la disponibilidad de cada conector, verificar el estado de su carga y revisar su historial de pagos.

The concession process was managed by the Andalusian Health Service (SAS), who recognized the importance of having electric charging infrastructure in their healthcare centers. Thanks to this concession, electric vehicle customers can enjoy the convenience and accessibility of strategically located charging stations throughout Andalusia.

Charging stations with a power of up to 22 kW will be deployed. The presence of these charging stations in Andalusian healthcare centers will benefit not only healthcare professionals but also patients and visitors, who can charge their electric vehicles during their stay at the centers.

The charging stations located in healthcare centers will be available to any driver through the Wenea mobile app, compatible with both Android and iOS devices. Through this app, electric vehicle owners will have real-time information on the location of charging points, can check the availability of each connector, verify the status of their charging session, and review their payment history.
